UVK 5 is an electrovacuum device with a built-in power supply, the main purpose of which is to detect weak radiation signals. High-performance GaAs, multi-alkali and other photocathodes allows to achieve maximum sensitivity, which makes it possible to use such devices in the space and aviation industries, as well as in various scientific research.

The main design feature is microchannel amplification, in contrast to the traditionally used dynode. The special technology for production of the photomultipliers makes it possible to produce image intensifier tubes of various modifications and designs, depending on the specific application.
